This is a well rounded album that has aged really well and put Em back at the center of the spotlight again.Ĥ- The Marshal Mathers LP 2- When Eminem first announced MMLP2, I was very confused why he would make a sequel to his most successful and critically acclaimed album to date. Going through changes is arguably his most personable song, and No love was a lyrical masterpiece. Songs like Cinderella man, Almost Famous, Cold Wind Blows and On fire make me want to fight till my last breath. Em really balanced a mainstream appeal with technical lyricism that no other rapper can do. "Rewind the future to the present, pause it, don't ask how, fuck the past motherfucker he's a shit right now". This album captures a titan's fall and his comeback. Em had some of the best lines on Recovery. People think that this album is too poppy, I think it's not. Obviously that seemed to be its only purpose, and it did get the job done.ĥ- Recovery- Recovery gets shit on way too much, this is particularly due to the success of songs like Love the way you lie and Not afraid. The album was a big fuck you to anyone that doubted him and thought he was too old to be making a comeback. Em needed to make Kamikaze, he wasn't going out like that with the reception of Revival. A new Eminem Album just like that ? The Ringer is arguably one of the most Well Written songs ever. Even though it wasn't the comeback Em needed at the time, this album still holds a dear place in my heart.Ħ- Kamikaze- I still remember the night this thing dropped like it was yesterday. Songs like Deja Vu and Hello really captured the addicts mind in a way that no other rapper can. I did think the accents were a bit of a turnoff at times. Even though the album would not make a wide appeal, it is certainly one of the darkest albums Eminem has ever made.

The serial killer vibe was phenomenal, the lyrical complexity was above the charts. I believe Em put it best "My infinite CD flopped, too many soft tunes".ħ- Relapse- Now I know I'm going to get flack for this, and I'm conflicted myself as I think Relapse is one of the best concept albums out there. Dre at the time, so it was a different Eminem. Very little replay value for lots of songs unfortunately.Ĩ- Infinite- Lyrically you could tell Em was a beast in this album. But what happens in the middle chunk of the album? Something tells me Interscope just kept wanting more and more pop features. Even River was such a good Radio single that could've promoted the album in a much better way if it was released ahead of time. The ending to the album was heart wrenching and brought a tear to my eye the first time I listened to it. Songs like Believe, In Your Head, Castle, Arose, Framed and Offended are one of the best songs Em has ever made. Overall, this is my least favorite album and I think many people on here seem to agree.ĩ- Revival- Aaah This one hurts, Could've been such a great album for sure. Big Weenie, My 1st Single, Puke are certainly songs I skip over when I listen to this album, but songs like Most and Yellow Brick Road certainly will go down as one of his best songs. Even though the album had some great songs, it arguably had some of the worst songs he's ever made. You could tell that drugs have really taken a toll on him during that time and he was struggling with coming up with things to talk about. I believe most of us agree on what Eminem's best and worst albums are but there is some debate when it comes to albums like Relapse, Recovery and MMLP2.ġ0- ENCORE- This in my opinion is Eminem's most incoherent work. I know that this has been beaten to death, but I'd like to give my take and see what everyone thinks.
